Responsible Mining Report

The report presents Hecla's 2018 responsible-mining performance across safety, environment, social investment and governance. It reports 65,000+ hours of health and safety training, a 27.5% reduction in AIFR, and a fatal bear-attack incident involving an exploration contractor. Environmental disclosures include 66,619 Metric tons CO2-e of gross Scope I emissions, 67% renewable electricity, and 2.35M tons of tailings produced with nearly 31% returned as backfill. The report also maps initiatives to SDGs 4, 6, 8 and 15 and provides a SASB metrics appendix.
