Overview

The report presents HeidelbergCement's 2013-2014 sustainability performance, including 2014 Group revenue of EUR 12,614 million and a year-end workforce of 44,909 employees. It reports 54.6 million tonnes of gross CO2 emissions for the cement business line and a 21.2% reduction in specific net CO2 emissions since 1990, against a 23% reduction target for 2015. The report also documents approximately 200 biodiversity management plans at quarries in areas with high biological diversity.
