Overview

The report describes HEP's environmental protection organization and monitoring of air emissions, waste and environmental expenses. In 2007, HEP's thermal power plants emitted 5,460 kt of CO2, while the group generated 1,269 tons of hazardous and 105,569 tons of non-hazardous waste. Total nature and environmental protection expenses were 114,418,000 kuna. The report also highlights continued introduction of ISO 14001:2004 environmental management systems in HEP plants.
