Overview

The report describes HEP Group's 2009 environmental management and compliance activities, including monitoring of air emissions, water quality and waste. It reports thermal-plant 2009 emissions of 24,956 t SO2, 7,031 t NOx, 4,043 kt CO2 and 651 t particulates, as well as 1,100 tons of hazardous and 88,405 tons of non-hazardous waste. Environmental-protection expenses totaled 61.036 million kuna, while major achievements included greenhouse-gas monitoring programs and biodiversity conservation projects.
