Overview

The report covers HEP Group's 2010 environmental policy, EU-legislation alignment, pollutant emissions, waste management and environmental protection activities. Thermal power plant emissions were reported at 8,277 t SO2, 5,318 t NOx, 3,899 kt CO2 and 313 t particulates. HEP Group generated 1,152 tons of hazardous and 93,185 tons of non-hazardous waste, all of which was handed over to authorized collectors, exporters or processors. Environmental initiatives included a new water treatment plant at Sisak TPP, waste-water improvements, air-quality projects and biodiversity conservation measures.
