Overview

The report describes Hershey's inaugural double materiality assessment and its focus on financially and outwardly material ESG issues. It reports SBTi-approved goals to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% and Scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030 against a 2018 baseline. For 2022, the company reported 179,211 MTCO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 5,941,676 MTCO2e of Scope 3 emissions and a 78% company-wide waste recycling rate.
