Sustainability Report

Overview

The report is HPCL's maiden sustainability report for Fiscal Year 2011-12, covering its fully-owned Indian operations while excluding joint ventures, subsidiaries, international operations and administrative offices. It describes the formation of a Board-level Sustainability Sub-Committee to monitor sustainable development initiatives. Environmental disclosures cover energy, water, emissions, waste and renewable-energy projects, while social sections report workforce, safety, human rights, CSR and product responsibility. DNV performed assurance over the entire report's social, environmental and economic indicators.
