Sustainability Report

The report is Hindustan Zinc's first standalone sustainability report covering all company operations for 2015-16. It highlights four workplace fatalities alongside a 41% reduction in LTIFR, and reports total energy consumption of 44.28 million GJ. Environmental disclosures also include 4.7 million tCO2e of direct and indirect carbon emissions, zero discharge, and 1.06 million MT of waste generated. Community initiatives included Rs. 63 Crores of CSR expenditure and extensive education, livelihood, health, water, and women's empowerment programmes.
