Overview

The report presents FY2018 environmental performance for the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group, including consolidated energy use of 176,200 kL, Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, and detailed Scope 3 categories. It sets 2030 greenhouse-gas reduction targets of 45% for Scope 1+2 and 33% for Scope 3 product use. The workforce section reports 24,591 permanent group employees and 2,527 contract employees at March 31, 2019. SGS Japan independently verified Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3 and energy-consumption data at a limited assurance level.
