Overview

The report presents Holcim's 2011 sustainability performance across environmental, social and economic areas, including 102.0 million tonnes of absolute gross CO2 emissions for cement operations and net sales of CHF 20.7 billion. It reports 26 people who lost their lives while working for Holcim and a further 27 third-party deaths, while noting the Group's continued zero-harm objective. The report also documents an approved Group-wide Water Management System and 39% Biodiversity Action Plan coverage at sensitive sites.
