Overview

The report describes the Group's 2017 sustainability performance across its building materials, diesel engines and consumer products businesses. It reports 11,389 employees at year-end, one fatality in China operations, and a 7.4% increase in total energy consumption. Group waste was approximately 464.1 kilotonnes, with 56.6% reused, recycled or recovered. Sustainability oversight is structured around the Board, Audit and Risk Committee and Sustainability Committee.
