Overview

The report covers HLA's 2018 sustainability performance for its building materials and diesel engines units after the consumer products unit was deconsolidated. It reports eight material ESG issues under the GRI Standards Core option, including employee health and safety, energy and carbon footprint, and ethical business conduct. Group headcount was 8,116 full-time staff, while the report records no workplace fatalities. Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions were 1,868,929 tCO2 and 346,465 tCO2, respectively, and solar-generated electricity represented 9.9% of total electricity consumption.
