Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes HSH's first structured, group-level sustainability review, supported by a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee established in late 2007 and external consultancy Green Building Services. It covers seven Peninsula hotels and organizes priorities around six themes spanning governance, employees, environment, health and safety, supply chain, and community engagement. The report highlights group-wide energy-conservation measures, water-saving initiatives, responsible sourcing and waste management, while acknowledging that consistent application and measurable indicators were still being developed. It closes by outlining a future Group-wide strategy and expanded reporting using the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines.
