Overview

The report presents Infineon's 2017 environmental and social performance under the GRI G4 Core approach and as a Communication on Progress for the UN Global Compact. It reports approximately 1,667 gigawatt hours of energy consumption and a carbon footprint comprising 259,078 tons of CO2 Scope 1, 609,825 tons of CO2 equivalents Scope 2 and 539,248 tons of CO2 equivalents Scope 3. Total waste generated was 38,289 tons, with 59 percent recycled. The report also records a fatal workplace accident and describes the company's occupational safety response.
