Corporate Responsibility Report

Overview

The report describes ING's 2008 corporate responsibility performance across its global workforce, environmental footprint, responsible finance and community investment. It reports 124,661 FTEs at year-end, carbon neutrality since 2007 and 212,871 tonnes of CO2 emissions in 2008, down 20% from 2007. Renewable sources provided 63% of purchased electricity worldwide. The report follows GRI G3 and includes reasonable assurance by Ernst & Young over ten key performance indicators.
