Annual Report

The report presents ING's integrated financial and sustainability performance for 2021, with sustainability as one of its strategic priorities. The company joined the Net-Zero Banking Alliance and aimed to steer its lending portfolio toward net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner. Its operational programme reported an 80% reduction in estimated Scope 1 and 2 emissions against the 2014 base year and 100% renewable electricity in its buildings. The report also disclosed that 34% of total assets were EU Taxonomy eligible.
