The report describes IHG’s 2012 responsible-business agenda around environmental sustainability and sustainable communities. Green Engage enrolled 2,219 hotels at year-end, and IHG reported an absolute 76,000 metric-tonne reduction in its global hotel and corporate-office carbon footprint. Community initiatives included 157 IHG Academy programmes and $545,000 raised for Shelter in a Storm, which supported 10 disasters across six countries.
