Overview

The report describes IHG's response to Covid-19 by providing hotel accommodation and community support, while launching its Journey to Tomorrow plan and obtaining SBTi approval for its 2030 carbon reduction targets. It reports 2020 energy consumption of 10,224,900 MWh across the entire estate, Scope 1 emissions of 342,504 tCO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 1,529,400 tCO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 1,904,006 tCO2e. The report also records 79,870,531 m3 of total water consumption and 438,362 metric tonne of total waste. IHG directly employed 12,832 people at 31 December 2020.
