Sustainability Report

The report describes Intesa Sanpaolo Group's 2016 sustainability performance across financial, social, human and natural capital. It highlights 88,725 employees, 3.9 million hours of training and a Group workforce that was 54% women. Environmental disclosures include 40,226 tCO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 35,857 tCO2e of market-based Scope 2 emissions and 80.2% of Group electricity from renewable sources. The report also documents materiality analysis, Board-level sustainability oversight and KPMG's limited assurance engagement.
