Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes ITC's 2012-13 sustainability performance across its businesses and subsidiaries under operational control. It highlights carbon-positive operations, 41.2% renewable energy use, water-positive performance and 99.8% waste recycling. The report also records more than 31,000 direct employees and large-scale livelihood programmes supporting farmers, women and rural communities. Environmental and social disclosures were independently assured by Ernst & Young, while the GHG inventory was assured by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.
