Overview

The report describes Sainsbury's commitment to invest £1 billion over 20 years to reach Net Zero across its own operations by 2040. It also reports SBTi-approved targets for Scopes 1, 2 and 3, including a 30 per cent absolute Scope 3 reduction by 2030. Operational GHG emissions fell to 818,161 tCO2e, while water usage fell to 2,776,288m3. The company also raised £35 million for good causes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
