Overview

The report describes Sainsbury's 2024/25 progress across its Plan for Better sustainability priorities. It reports a 52.8 per cent reduction in absolute own-operations GHG emissions from the 2018/19 baseline and sets net-zero targets for its operations by 2035 and value chain by 2050. Water usage fell to 2,562,660m3, while the report also details progress on food waste, packaging, nature, human rights and inclusion. Sustainability oversight is assigned to the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Committee, which advises the Board.
