Sustainability Report

The report describes the JFE Group's FY2022 sustainability performance, centered on decarbonization, environmental management and social responsibility. It reports group Scope 1 and 2 emissions of 56.1 million t-CO2 and targets an 18% reduction by FY2024 and more than 30% by FY2030 from FY2013. The Group also began supplying JGreeX green steel in FY2023, with third-party certification covering 520,000 tonnes of CO2 emission reduction in FY2022. Biodiversity risk assessment advanced through pilot LEAP testing aligned with TNFD recommendations, alongside continued human-rights due diligence across the supply chain.
