Overview

The report describes JICA's strengthened sustainability governance through a Sustainability Committee and an Office for Sustainability Management. It sets a target for organizational carbon neutrality by 2030, based on Scope 1 and 2 for headquarters and domestic offices. JICA reports ¥1,053.9 billion of climate finance in 2022 and approximately 3 million tons/year of emissions reductions from supported projects. It also highlights cumulative ESG bond issuance of ¥477 billion in the domestic market and $1.25 billion overseas.
