Overview

The report presents J.K. Cement's third sustainability report for 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016, covering economic, environmental, and social performance within stated operational boundaries. It reports 2013487 m3 of water consumption and 420799 m3 recycled, equivalent to about 21%, alongside 2200343 tonnes CO2 equivalent from energy consumption and 3270820 tonnes CO2 equivalent from calcination. The workforce totalled 2745 employees, while three fatalities occurred at Mangrol and Nimbahera and CSR expenditure totalled 464 INR Lakhs. Ernst & Young LLP provided limited assurance under ISAE 3000.
