Sustainability Report

The report covers Johnson Controls' fiscal 2020 sustainability performance and presents the company's sustainability commitments, including a 55 percent reduction in absolute operational emissions before 2030 and net-zero carbon emissions before 2040. It reports 2020 Scope 1 emissions of 549,358 Metric Tons CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of 229,809 Metric Tons CO2e and Scope 3 emissions of 121,906,000 Metric Tons CO2e. It also reports a global workforce of 100,000 employees, 72,429 Metric Tons of waste generated and zero work-related fatalities. The report includes GRI Comprehensive disclosures, SASB reporting, TCFD recommendations and third-party assurance of energy, GHG, water and waste data.
