Overview

The report describes the JSE Group's 2022 progress in embedding sustainability into strategy and culture, supported by four sustainability undertakings. It presents the JSE's first TCFD-aligned climate disclosures, a carbon footprint assessment based on the GHG Protocol, and a 2050 net-zero commitment. It also highlights new sustainability-linked and transition bonds introduced in 2022, alongside expanded ESG ratings coverage and seven ESG ETFs. Human-capital reporting includes 544 permanent employees, 54% female representation, and initiatives on learning, wellbeing and gender equality.
