Building for a Sustainable World

The report presents Kier's evolved Building for a Sustainable World framework around environmental protection and social value, with three sustainability pillars and 10 priority SDGs. It reports a 70% Scope 1 and 2 carbon reduction since the FY19 baseline and sets a 2045 net-zero commitment across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, with interim Scope 1 and 2 net zero by 2039. It also reports 93% diversion of waste from landfill and reasonable-assurance third-party verification for FY24 Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. Sustainability accountability rests with the chief executive and Board ESG Committee.
