Overview

The report describes a challenging FY2017 for Kingmaker, with continuing-operations turnover down 20.7% to approximately HK$1,830 million, while profit attributable to equity holders rose 10.3% to HK$132.556 million. Manufacturing remained the core business, with Southeast Asia accounting for 85.9% of total footwear output and 32 production lines across Vietnam, Cambodia and Zhuhai. The Group completed the wind-down, discontinuation or sale of its retailing and wholesaling activities and established a 40%-owned central Vietnam joint venture. Its ESG report covers stakeholder engagement, environmental management, labour practices, health and safety, supply chain, anti-corruption and community donations, including approximately HKD240,000 donated during the year.
