Sustainability Report

The report describes KiwiRail's FY26 progress on emissions reduction, climate adaptation and safety, alongside practical changes across its operations. Scope 1 and 2 emissions fell by 18,095 tonnes of CO2e, and operational waste recycling reached 19.5%, above the 18% target. The report also details a supply-chain modern slavery risk assessment and continued work with iwi on environmental stewardship.
