Environmental Impact Report

Overview

The report presents KBN's first environmental impact report, covering 64 green-loan-funded projects through the end of 2016. It reports USD 1.13 billion of outstanding green loans and a green portfolio led by low-carbon transportation and green buildings. Reported annual impacts include 23 374.1 tonnes of CO2e avoided or reduced, 18.5 GWh of renewable energy produced, 57 140 tonnes of added waste-management capacity, and 118 009 m2 of sea floor restored. It also explains the project's scope 1 and 2 methodology and the governance used to select and monitor eligible green loans.
