Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes a fatality-free 2017 and a 46% reduction in high-potential incidents from 39 to 21. It reports 1.00 million tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions, 8.94 million GJ of energy consumption and a 10.7% GHG reduction target for 2020. Community-focused delivery included R520 million in local procurement and R106.7 million in direct social investment. Selected sustainability information was independently assured by PwC, including Scope 1 and 2 emissions, energy and work-related fatal injuries.
