Overview

The report presents Kumba's 2022 sustainability performance across safety, environmental stewardship, climate, and community development. It reports six consecutive fatality-free years during the reporting period, 0.994 million tonnes of Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and 8.97 million GJ of total energy consumption. Kumba also describes its carbon-neutrality pathway, including 30% GHG reduction targets by 2030 and carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 by 2040. The report includes selected sustainability KPIs subject to limited and reasonable assurance by Nexia SAB&T.
