Environmental Report

The report describes Lerøy Seafood Group's 2009 environmental performance across fish farming, processing, logistics and workforce management. It records 30 937 escaped salmon and reports 1,563 Group employees at year-end. The report also states that the production companies adopted the Global Gap standard and presents a whole-salmon climate-gas footprint of 2.0 kg CO2e per kilo live weight. Environmental goals include reducing resource use, improving fish welfare and preventing accidental releases.
