Sustainability Snapshot

The report is an interim snapshot of Lion’s environmental achievements during the 2018 calendar year, prepared while the company reviewed and decided to sell its Dairy & Drinks business. It reports a 12% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions since FY15, equivalent to over 33,000 tonnes of CO2, and a 14% decrease in total energy usage over the same period. Packaging priorities include a 2025 goal for all packaging to be recyclable and at least 50% to contain recycled content; reported actions include using 20% recycled content in HDPE milk bottles at two plants.
