Environmental Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes LSE's 2015/16 environmental performance, including a 16.8 per cent decrease in carbon emissions against the 2005/06 baseline, total energy consumption of 36,459,000 kWh, zero waste sent to landfill, and 95 per cent of electricity purchased from renewable tariffs. It also records certification to ISO 14001 and recertification of ISO 50001, alongside progress in sustainable procurement, buildings, water, transport, education, and community engagement.
