Annual Sustainability Report

The report describes LSE's 2021/22 sustainability work across teaching, research, engagement, investment and campus operations. It reports 7,877 tonnes CO2e of Scope 1 and 2 emissions, down 40 per cent since 2005, and says LSE remained carbon neutral for the emissions it measures. Energy consumption was 42,041 MWh; water consumption was 177,184 m3; and total waste excluding construction was 1,077 tonnes, of which 62 per cent was reused or recycled.
