Annual Report

The report describes a transformational 2017 for the company, led by the acquisition and integration of Capsugel and record Group sales of CHF 5.1 billion. It reports a 7.2% reduction in total Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions to 676,000 metric tons of CO2e, alongside lower energy demand relative to sales. Safety performance reached a record-low lost-time injury frequency rate. Total waste rose to 199,000 metric tons, with more than 90% of the increase attributed to mercury-remediation activities at Visp.
