Sustainability Review

The report describes Mahindra's Businesswise sustainability model, in which individual businesses develop sustainability roadmaps supported by Group governance. For FY2014-15, the Group reports 143,621 employees, 3,871,877 GJ of energy consumption, 7,021,214 kl of water consumption, and Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions of 108,882, 512,416 and 295,521 tCO2 respectively. It also reports five workplace fatalities and 1,557,347 trees planted through Project Hariyali. KPMG provided limited assurance over the sustainability data under ISAE 3000 and AA1000AS.
