Sustainability Review

The report presents Marimekko's 2014 sustainability performance across design, sourcing, environmental impacts, employee wellbeing and responsible business practices. It reports that 72% of non-EU purchases were covered by BSCI audits and that 11% of textile products sold used more sustainable materials. Environmental indicators include 2,017 MWh of electricity consumption, 28,661 m3 of water consumption and 191 tonnes of waste generated. The report also records 479 employees at year-end and 33% women on the Board of Directors.
