Overview

The report describes M&S's strategic ambition to move from carbon-neutral operations towards net zero emissions by 2035. It reports 298,000 tonnes CO2e of location-based Scope 1 and 2 emissions and 177,000 tonnes CO2e on a market-based basis, while 86% of purchased electricity came from renewable sources. The company also donated 4,991 tonnes of surplus food, equivalent to 11.8 million meals, across the UK in 2020/21.
