Australian Beef Sustainability Annual Update

The report presents the Australian beef industry's 2025 sustainability update, covering 1 June 2024 to 31 July 2025. It reports an updated double materiality assessment identifying 26 sustainability topics after engagement with over 80 participants. Environmental highlights include a 70.1% net CO2e reduction from 2005 by 2023 and 69.83 million hectares of grazing land under forest. The update also records 98.09% of cattle processed through AAWCS-accredited facilities in FY2025 and notes that the former carbon-neutral-by-2030 goal was changed to contributing to Australia's net-zero ambitions.
