Overview

The report describes Melrose's inaugural Group sustainability targets and commitments, including renewable electricity, waste diversion, Scope 1 and Scope 2 intensity reduction, and net zero before 2050. In 2021, absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions fell 14%, energy consumption fell 6%, and water withdrawal fell 8%, while the Group reported Scope 3 emissions for the first time. The Group had 40,046 employees at year-end and achieved 42% female representation on its Board. Its disclosure also includes SASB and TCFD reporting, alongside detailed environmental, social and governance sections.
