Overview

The report presents Merck's 2012 corporate responsibility performance across access to health, environmental sustainability, employees, ethics and transparency. It reports 1.98 million metric tons of CO2e emissions, 9.1 billion gallons of water usage, 179,000 metric tons of waste, and one workplace fatality. The report also describes governance, human rights, philanthropy, global health partnerships and a workforce of 83,000 employees.
