Overview

The report presents MSD's 2021 ESG performance across access to health, employees, environmental sustainability, and ethics and values. It reports 2030 reduction targets for operational and value-chain emissions, alongside a 2025 carbon-neutrality target. In 2021, MSD reported 68,000 employees, 695,700 MT CO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 6,958,900 MT CO2e of Scope 3 emissions, and 82,000 MT of operational waste. The report also highlights 43% female Board representation and Board-led ESG oversight.
