Overview

The report presents Merck's 2024 enterprise-wide impact across access to health, employees, environmental sustainability and ethics. It highlights more than 450 million people reached with medicines and vaccines, approximately 75,000 worldwide employees, and a net-zero commitment across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 2045. Environmental performance includes Scope 1 emissions of 721,200 Mt CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of 163,000 Mt CO2e and Scope 3 emissions of 6,057,900 Mt CO2e. The report also discloses zero employee fatalities and one facility-management contractor fatality in 2024.
