Responsibility for Employees, the Environment and the Community Report

The report covers Merck Group sites and activities for Spring 2003 to Spring 2005 and presents Group-wide environmental, safety and personnel data. It reports that the Group had already achieved its goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 10 percent by 2010 from a 2002 base. Merck also joined the UN Global Compact in 2005 and documents education, health and community initiatives across its operating countries.
