Corporate Responsibility Report

The report describes Merck's 2008 global scale of 32,800 employees and EUR 7.6 billion in total revenues. It reports worldwide emissions of 332,000 metric tons of CO2 and a goal to reduce direct and indirect emissions by 20% by 2020 against 2006 levels. The report also documents implementation of the UN Global Compact's ten principles, alongside detailed environmental, employee and community programs.
