Overview

The report covers the Group's 2008 calendar-year environmental, social and economic performance across its principal companies. It reports 2,5 million MWh of electricity consumption, 5,8 million m3 of water consumption and 80.700 tonnes allocated for recycling or utilization. The human-resources table records 2.715 employees and one fatal accident. The report also describes 608 days with zero lost-time accidents at Aluminium of Greece, while noting that one colleague died in a November 2008 workplace incident.
