The report presents METRO's 2019/20 sustainability performance across climate, energy, workforce and governance topics. Group greenhouse gas emissions were 2,526,129 t CO2 (CO2 equivalents), while total energy consumption was 2,088,800 MWh. The workforce disclosures include 89,359 average FTE employees and 48.2% women employees, and the report notes that one woman serves on the Management Board. METRO also reports 2030 Scope 1, 2 and 3 reduction targets and obtained limited independent assurance from KPMG.
